I make sure to eat and drink something green every day! I start my morning with Matcha tea! It just the right lift and clears my head since I usually sit down to write around 4:30 a.m. For me, it’s a mindful approach to all the things on my, “TO DO LIST” for that day. It also gives me a boost before I go on my walk, usually 4 miles. It’s important to re-hydrate after exercise, when I get back home I make sure to drink an 8 oz. glass of water. Remember to hydrate throughout the day!

Matcha is a calorie-burning boost for your workout. It’s funny but this is the time I start to create ideas. No matter where I go, EVERYTHING inspires me! Studies have linked green tea to a variety of health benefits, like helping to protect against heart disease and cancer. Matcha has been shown to improve attention, memory, and reaction time. Coffee and teas contain caffeine which may cause irritability, headaches, diarrhea and of course insomnia. Like everything you eat or drink it’s healthiest consumed in moderation.

Ingredients

Serves 2
1/2 small avocado, peeled and pitted
1  banana
1 cup fresh spinach
2-1/2 cups cashew, or almond milk
1/4 teaspoon Stevia
1 teaspoons chia seeds
1 teaspoons hemp seeds
16 ice cubes

Instructions

Place the avocado, banana, spinach, your choice of nut milk, stevia, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and ice cubes in a blender. Process for 1 minute until the mixture is smooth.
