GREEN MONSTER POWER SMOOTHIE
I don’t know about you but I find myself dragging around 3:30 every afternoon. If I don’t eat or drink something to bring my energy level up to hold me until dinner, I will inevitably start picking—a piece of cheese here, tortilla chips there, pretzels, toast—you get the picture. I am committed to staying strong and healthy so my choice is to make this delicious and good for you power boosting smoothie. It gives me just the kick I need to continue on with my day feeling strong and in control and it certainly holds me over until dinner so I don’t pig out. I make this smoothie for breakfast too. Just look at that beautiful color, I see green and I automatically know it is good for me! I feel great when I make choices that are healthy and healing for my body. This drink is full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to keep my mind sharp, heart healthy. A drink for all ages! Enjoy!
1/2 small avocado, peeled and pitted
1 small frozen banana
½ cup fresh spinach
1 cup (5 ounces) chopped fresh or frozen pineapple
1 cup almond milk
1/4 teaspoon Stevia
2 teaspoons chia seeds
2 teaspoons hemp seeds
16 ice cubes
Place the avocado, banana, spinach, pineapple, almond milk, stevia, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and ice cubes in a blender. Process for 1 minute until the mixture is smooth.
